
Nate Fredricks
Mathematics
Nate teaches Science and Math at Waterloo. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Arts (BSA) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Texas at Austin in Biology and Plan II Honors, respectively. In his time at UT, he served on the Leadership Team for the Presbyterian college ministry Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) and with the Austin Chapter of Miracle Messages – working to reconnect Austin’s unhoused with loved ones. Before coming to Waterloo, Nate worked in a variety of different roles, including as a Research Fellow and Undergraduate Mentor for the University of Texas Urban Ecosystems Lab, High School Mentor for the University of Texas High School Research Academy, and private high school tutor in Math and Science. Additionally, through college Nate fostered interest in the philosophy at the intersection of virtue ethics and healthcare through his Honors thesis. Nate and his wife Sloane are active members of the Austin Stone Church’s West Congregation and are excited to to kick off their first year of marriage in the Waterloo community.
