Dr. Juan Sanchez

Humanities, Spanish

Dr Juan Sanchez teaches Humanities and Spanish I & II at Waterloo. He is a US-born Spaniard who specialized in colonial North American studies after graduating in English Literature from the University of Seville. Sevilla is the Spanish city that both he and his wife consider their hometown, and where two of their children were born. For most of his career, he has been an ESL teacher in preK-12 schools, both in Spain and South America, but he also taught Spanish to college freshmen at UNC-Chapel Hill. Juan has been a member of the Presbyterian Evangelical Church in Spain for over a decade, where he was involved in teaching and music ministries.
