Last week, friends, family, and faculty gathered to experience the best of Waterloo over the past three months: the 2022 Fall Student Showcase!
Each trimester, students work hard on projects that capture their imagination and push their learnings from core classes. Often, the projects combine two or more disciplines into one final product.
Through teamwork, creativity, and trial and error, everyone ended up with a project they can truly be proud of. Check out a few of their projects below!

Spanish: Cuentos Para Niños (Storybooks for Children)
Students wrote and illustrated original children’s books in Spanish — and “field tested” them with actual kids!

Engineering: Design for a Need, Design Backwards, Design Better
Students designed and built working cameras, earthquake-resistant building models, flashlights, and more!

Chemistry: The Waterloo Test Kitchen, Vol. 2
Students experimented with different ingredients and methods to see — and taste — chemistry in action!

A night to remember
Other presentations included a sneak peek at a history/English/theater production entitled “Life and Death at the Grand Central Cafe, Vienna, 1914” and a history project called “Cities and Towns Designed for Good Living.”
Several groups also got a chance to flex their public speaking skills during project presentations and Q&A.
