2021 Fall Showcase: Spanish II (VIDEO)

What do you need to know in order to narrate a story or talk about important events in history? Spanish II continues the general introduction to Spanish by focusing on the main past tenses. Students practice listening, speaking, writing, and reading Spanish in the context of engaging real world topics and applications of Spanish.

This course culminated in a creative project designed to employ students’ skills especially in narrating a story in the past tenses. Students learned about the essentials of good stories and then applied what they learned by writing and illustrating Spanish children’s books to present to our neighbors at Academia Preescolar.

Watch this video to hear from Spanish II students about their experience writing a children’s story — in a different language!
